ABOUT ME

I am a Assistant Professor Faculty at National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research-Ahmedabad and working in the area of Biosesnor. I have completed  B.Sc. in Physics (Hons.) from Magadh University, Bodh Gaya in 2007 followed by M.Sc. in Biotechnology and M.Tech. in Nanoscience and Technology from Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology (GJUS&T), Hisar, Haryana, India in 2009 and 2011 respectively. In 2017, I have completed my Ph.D. in Biotechnology on the the topics "Development of nanomaterial based biosensors for oral cancer detection" under supervision of Prof. Bansi D. Malhotra, Prof. S. Maji and Dr. Jai G. Sharma from Delhi Technological University (DTU), Delhi, India. After my Ph.D. thesis submission, I have taught Biophysics as Guest faculty at Department of Applied Physics, Delhi Technological University, Delhi. Since Nov 2016, I have been working as a Postdoctoral research associate at Department of Mechanical, Aerospace and Nuclear Engineering, Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST), Ulsan, Republic of Korea on the topic "Development of Drone integrated electrochemical biosesnor for airborne virus detection" with Prof. Jaesung Jang. Recently, I have been selected for prestigious DST INSPIRE Faculty (Jan-2017).

1. Did two months summer training on “Learning various tools and techniques in molecular biology & plant tissue culture” under supervision of Prof. Ashok Chaudhoury, Department of Bio & Nanotechnology, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar, Haryana.

2. Did six months M. Sc. project work on “Isolation and identification of leafy gene homolog in populus deltoides” under supervision of Prof. Ashok Chaudhoury, Department of Bio & Nanotechnology, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar, Haryana.

3. Did ten months M. Tech. (Nanotechnology) project on “Formation and immobilization of ternary copper (II) polypyridyl complexes” under supervision of Dr. Tarkeshwar Gupta, Department of Chemistry, University of Delhi.

4.Development of electrokinetics integrated electrochemical microfluidic system for airborne virus detection DST/INSPIRE/04/2017/001336 at Department of Science and Technology, Government of India

OTHERS:

​

1. I have also contributed towards departmental responsibility including adhoc faculty and project fellow’s recruitment, conducting various guest lectures, M. Tech. admission (2015) and teaching (both B. Tech. and M. Tech.) assigned by Head of Department and my Ph. D. supervisors.


2. Actively involved in the establishment of Nanobioelctronics Laboratory in Department of Biotechnology, Delhi Technological University and procuring various sophisticated equipments (Electrochemical Analyzer, Surface Plasmon Resonance, UV-Vis-NIR Spectrophotometer, Milli Q water purification system, Screen printer, Microfluidics pump etc.).

3. Actively worked as various committee members (such as finance, accommodation, TA/DA and event management) of India-Japan workshop on “Biomolecular electronics and organic nanotechnology for environment preservation” held on 13th to 15th December 2013.
